A Typical Project

Separation Technologies operates under a principle of a bespoke process development to meet the specific needs of the client. A project is therefore normally carried out under the following sections.

Laboratory trials; conducted at Separation Technologies’ site in the UK. These are aimed at identifying the correct chemistry of the process and appropriate resins to meet pertinent client’s product specifications and providing the necessary indications on processing capabilities.
Pilot trials; conducted at the client’s site by Separation Technologies’ personnel. Pilot trials are essential to eliminate differences in trials arising from raw product transportation and storage. Process guarantees achievable on the main plant are given at this stage.
Process plant modifications/ specifications: to Separation Technologies design requirements.
Commissioning, which may include supply of resin, vessel and internals and process technology transfer.

The client will have a good indication of the main plant performance and possible savings to be made by the end of laboratory trials. These will be confirmed and process guarantees provided for the main plant at the end of pilot plant trials..
